The Ministry of Finance has announced its position regarding the demand for payment from students studying under state order (tuition-free) at Western Caspian University.
Modern.az reports that, according to information provided by the Ministry, last year a total of 5 million 76.6 thousand manats were allocated from the state budget to the university, including 3 million 596.6 thousand manats for education expenses and 1 million 480.0 thousand manats for scholarship expenses.
These funds were transferred to the university's account on time through the Ministry of Science and Education and fully covered the financing of 1,539 students studying under state order, including 538 students admitted in 2025.
Furthermore, within the framework of the state order for 2026, the funds allocated from the state budget to the university are planned with a 7.2% increase. Thus, for the current year, this amount totals 5 million 443.5 thousand manats, including 3 million 742.0 thousand manats for education and 1 million 701.5 thousand manats planned as scholarship expenses.
