Between October and April, uncharged funds from payment transactions carried out with bank cards equipped with NFC functionality will begin to be debited in stages starting from 06.04.2026, and temporary restrictions on the use of public transport will be lifted.
Modern.az reports that “Bakı Kart” has issued information regarding this.
“Although payment transactions are executed immediately, notifications regarding the debiting of funds may be provided to you with a delay (several hours or days later). For this reason, in some cases, a temporary restriction is applied to the aforementioned bank cards for public transport payments.
Please ensure you maintain sufficient funds in your bank cards for payment transactions. Once the outstanding amount is debited from your account, this restriction will be lifted, and you will receive a notification from the bank. You will be able to view the debited amounts in your bank's card history. Should you have any questions, you may contact Bakıkart's *4343 hotline.
