In Azerbaijan, an increase in statistical indicators was recorded in the transport and warehousing sector in the first months of 2026, too.
According to information provided by RINN to Modern.az, based on data as of the end of February, the share of the transport and warehousing sector in GDP increased to 7.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. An increase was also observed in non-oil/gas GDP, and the sector's share constituted 10.3%.
The added value created in the sector continues to rise. In January-February, this indicator reached 1 billion 381 million 900 thousand manats. This represents a real increase of 2.4% or 105.7 million manats compared to the corresponding period of 2025. The total revenue for the sector amounted to 2 billion 267 million 200 thousand manats.
Investment remains one of the key factors in the development of the transport sector. In January-February, the volume of investments directed to the sector amounted to 606.6 million manats. This means a real increase of 12.1%.
Overall, the positive dynamics recorded in the transport and warehousing sector indicates that the country's logistics capabilities have strengthened and its position as a regional transport hub has been reinforced.
