In 2026, a pre-notification system will be implemented in Azerbaijan for international transportation at customs.
Modern.az reports that the regulatory legal framework related to this will be improved by the end of the year.
Specifically, the State Customs Committee, together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, must improve the regulatory legal framework by December 1, 2026, with the aim of establishing a pre-notification system in international transportation for customs purposes.
It should be noted that the establishment of a pre-notification system in international transportation for customs purposes is reflected in the “Reliable Partner Concept” approved by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev.
In the Concept, the State Customs Committee, together with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, has been tasked with improving the regulatory legal framework concerning carriers in 2026-2028, developing a pre-notification system in international transportation with the aim of ensuring the rapid passage of goods and vehicles through state border crossing points and implementing flexible customs control, and ensuring the integration of pre-submitted information by carriers into the customs system.(Trend)
