Honored Artist Jabir Imanov was laid to rest today, accompanied by his relatives, art colleagues, and art lovers.

Modern.az reports that the farewell ceremony for the Honored Artist was first held at the Cultural Center of the State Security Service (SSS). Family members, relatives, art and culture figures, and public representatives attended the ceremony.

People's Artist Murad Dadashov opened the farewell ceremony, speaking about how difficult and devastating these painful moments are. He spoke about Jabir Imanov's role in Azerbaijani culture, and his valuable human and artistic qualities.

The deceased's brother, Tahir Imanov, also spoke, expressing how difficult it is to come to terms with the loss of a brother:

“They say everyone becomes an orphan from a father, from a mother, but I became an orphan from a brother,” he said.

The passing of Jabir Imanov, who gained the audience's admiration with the characters he created on stage throughout his life, has been a heavy loss for the cultural community. Mansum Ibrahimov, Elmaddin Jafarov, Fatma Mahmudova, Dilara Aliyeva, Nijat Rahimov, and other artists attended the ceremony. They spoke about Jabir Imanov's contributions to art, his high moral values, and his simple, sincere demeanor behind the scenes.

The moments of farewell, passed in silent sorrow, once again recalled the deep traces he left in art.

After the farewell ceremony concluded, Jabir Imanov's p was laid to rest in the "Gurd Gapisi" cemetery. Wreaths and bouquets of flowers were placed on his grave.
