Antalya, a tourism center located on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, is one of the main venues for global sporting events. In February 2025, the "144 – A Question of Honour" tournament was organized for the first time in Belek with the participation of approximately 400 players.
Turkey hosted this competition, one of Europe's largest amateur golf tournaments, for the 2nd time this year from February 4-8.
Modern.az reports that more than 500 golfers representing 60 teams from 9 countries participated in the tournament held in Antalya, hosted by the GoTürkiye brand. The competitions were organized at the region's prestigious courses – Carya Golf Club, Olympos Golf Course, Aspendos Golf Course, Faldo Golf Course, and National Golf Course.
It should be noted that this tournament was established in Bad Griesbach, Germany, in 2016 and quickly became one of Europe's leading amateur golf competitions. Held annually in four different countries, the tournament brings together players from over 20 countries.
Antalya's Belek region stands out with its favorable climate and developed infrastructure. Approximately 300 days of sunny weather per year create the opportunity to play golf in the region for ten months of the year.
