The p of People's Artist Rasim Balayev, who died in the hospital where he was treated in Istanbul, has been brought to Baku.
Modern.az reports that the plane carrying the p of the deceased actor landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in the late hours.
A few hours later, a farewell ceremony with the prominent artist will be held at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre. He will then be buried in the 1st Alley of Honor.
It should be noted that the actor, known for his memorable roles such as “Babək”, “Nəsimi”, “Beyrək”, passed away at the age of 77. Rasim Balayev, who served as the chairman of the Azerbaijan Union of Cinematographers until the end of his life, was awarded the “Shokhrat”, “Sharaf”, and “Istiglal” orders.
