On April 3, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), received Mojtaba Damirchilou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was stated that His Holiness Sheikh-ul-Islam, warmly greeting the ambassador, expressed deep condolences on behalf of the country's religious figures regarding the numerous casualties among the civilian population, especially schoolgirls, during recent events in the friendly and brotherly country, and stated that he offered prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.
According to the Chairman of the CMO, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly stated that the territory of our country will not be allowed to be used against neighboring countries, including Iran, and this principled position remains unchanged.
Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade noted that the sincere relations between the two heads of state, Ilham Aliyev and Masoud Pezeshkian, serve the continuous development of ties between our countries and the preservation of peace and stability in the region.
Mojtaba Damirchilou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan, expressed his gratitude to His Holiness Sheikh-ul-Islam for the condolences and highly appreciated the moral support of the friendly Azerbaijani state and people, as well as the humanitarian aid provided during these difficult days for his country. The Ambassador thanked President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his resolute stance aimed at peace and stability.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on other issues of mutual interest.
