The reason for the summoning of Yusif Eyvazov, director of the Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and People's Artist, to the Ministry of Culture has been clarified.
In response to an inquiry from Modern.az, the Ministry stated that the meeting was held as planned and in a working order.
The institution noted that regular contact is maintained with the heads of cultural institutions, and such meetings are an integral part of the normal work process.
It should be recalled that in recent days, tension has been observed between artists and the management at the Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. People's Artist Avaz Abdulla made a post on social media, stating that his employment contract was not extended by director Yusif Eyvazov after his last performance on March 12, and emphasized that no reason was given for this. Following this, other former employees of the theatre also came forward with similar grievances.
