As a result of research conducted at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, some scientific facts related to the work of Gasim bey Zakir have been obtained.
Regarding this, information was provided to Modern.az by ANAS.
It was stated that during the research, flaws found in works published to date have been eliminated, and as a result of the analysis of archival and manuscript materials, 29 new poems written by the poet in various genres have been included in his collected works:
"In addition to this, the mukhammas titled “To Haji Boyuk bey”, which was considered doubtful in the “Additions” section of the 1964 edition, has been proven with strong scientific facts to belong to Gasim bey Zakir.
During the research, authorship issues were also re-examined. Thus, it was determined that the mukhammas with the refrain “Ölümü”, as well as the goshmas with the refrains “Üstünə”, “Gəlmədi”, and “Oldu”, belong not to Zakir, but to the poet Molla Gasim Zakir from Shaki, and these examples have been removed from the works of Gasim bey Zakir.
Published based on the obtained results, the book “Gasim bey Zakir. Works” is regarded as a complete and scientifically clarified collection of the poet's heritage".(APA)
