This week, the seventh meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) will be held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

According to Modern.az, leaders from nearly 50 countries are expected to participate in the summit. The main agenda of the meeting will be the discussion of Europe's overall security situation, continued support for Ukraine, and ways for the continent to be stronger and more secure in new geopolitical realities.

Following the plenary session of the meeting, leaders will hold discussions at separate roundtables on three topics: traditional and hybrid threats, economic security, and migration. The European Union will be represented at the summit by the President of the EU Council, Antonio Costa, and he will co-chair the sessions with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are also on the list of invited leaders. In light of their participation, discussions on the situation in the South Caucasus are also expected to take place.

Prior to the meeting, leaders of the 27 member states of the European Union will gather for an informal summit in Copenhagen. Here, the main focus will be on European defense initiatives – including projects such as the “Drone Wall” and the “Air Defense Shield” – and long-term financial support for Ukraine.

Leaders from Great Britain, Turkey, the Western Balkans, and the Caucasus countries will also participate in the European Political Community summit.
