In Armenia, the former mayor of Ijevan, Varujan Nersisyan, and his son have been detained.

Modern.az reports that the Anti-Corruption Committee has issued a statement regarding this.

The former mayor, arrested within the framework of a criminal case investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, is accused of money laundering and abuse of power.

His son, who was taken into custody, was a former municipal head.
