In the mountainous Arequipa region of southern Peru, a bus plunged into a ravine.
According to Modern.az, as a result of the incident, 37 people died and dozens were injured.
According to information provided to the media by local officials, the bus collided with a truck, veered off the road, and fell 200 meters to the bank of the Ocoña River. The bus was traveling from the city of Chala in the south of the country towards the city of Arequipa.
It should be noted that car accidents frequently occur in this area with difficult terrain.
