In 2025, 30 servicemen died in the ranks of the Armenian Armed Forces.
Modern.az reports that Armenia's Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan stated this at a press conference held on January 13.
According to him, 6 of the deaths occurred due to lightning and electric shock, 2 due to suicide or incitement to suicide, and 2 due to health reasons. The remaining 24 people died due to reasons unrelated to military service – road accidents, and domestic illnesses.
The minister stated that compared to 2024, the number of military deaths decreased by 40 percent.
