Heavy snowfall in Lerik has caused a number of complications.
Modern.az reports that 40 cm of snow fell in the center of Lerik district, and 80 cm in the mountains. The heavy snow caused a number of problems, leading to interruptions in electricity supply.
Habil Malikov, Chairman of the Lerik District Emergency Situations Commission, stated that the Lankaran-Lerik road is currently open. Although there are no problems with natural gas and water supply, there have been certain interruptions in electricity supply. In the morning, a malfunction in the 35/10 kV overhead line was eliminated. However, there is currently an interruption in electricity supply to 80 villages. Work is underway to restore power supply to these villages by the end of the day.
