The Cabinet of Ministers has made changes to the "Special Rules for the Use of Communications in a State of Emergency" approved by its decision dated February 15, 2012.
Modern.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a new decision in this regard.
According to the decision, if communication enterprises and the national operator of postal communication fail to perform their functions in accordance with the "Special Rules for the Use of Communications in a State of Emergency", direct management over the public telecommunication networks of such communication enterprises and the facilities of the national operator of postal communication in the territory where the state of emergency is applied may temporarily be carried out through the Information and Communication Technologies Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
