In Armenia, pro-Western political forces have failed to reach an agreement on the issue of participating in a unified format in the parliamentary elections to be held in June 2026.

Modern.az reports that the Past newspaper writes about this, citing sources.

According to the publication, due to disagreements between the parties regarding the distribution of the 15 million euros allocated by the European Union to Armenia, the parties will participate in the elections with separate lists.

It is noted that Aram Sargsyan, leader of the “Republic” Party, and Arman Babajanyan, chairman of the “For the Republic” Party, intend to fight for participation in the management of these funds. This very factor has negatively affected their mutual relations.

In addition, Past writes that Tigran Khzmalyan, leader of the “European Party of Armenia”, has been left out of the bloc he created, and he also plans to participate independently in the elections.
