On February 8, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the commencement of visa issuance for the 2026 Hajj season (1447 AH).

Modern.az reports, citing “Saudi Gazette”, that such an early start to visa issuance is part of an accelerated program designed to enhance service readiness and ensure pilgrim comfort approximately four months before the rituals, in line with the Kingdom's 2030 Vision.

The Ministry confirmed that contracts covering 100 percent of services in the holy sites for pilgrims arriving from abroad, as well as accommodation agreements in Makkah, have been finalized through the Nusk platform. According to the information, 750,000 pilgrims have registered to date, and packages have been booked directly from their home countries for 30,000 foreign nationals.

Additionally, approximately 485 camps have been allocated for international pilgrims in the holy sites, and 73 Hajj affairs offices have completed their main contractual arrangements. Coordination continues with Hajj affairs offices and service providers both within and outside the Kingdom.

Saudi officials note that the early issuance of visas reflects a proactive planning approach for the Hajj season, contributing to a more organized experience and enhancing the efficiency of services provided to millions of pilgrims from around the world.
