The US has sent six Boeing E-3C Sentry airborne early warning and control aircraft to Prince Sultan Air Base, located in Saudi Arabia.
Modern.az reports that the information was disseminated by the Flightradar24 resource.
It is reported that the last two aircraft arrived at the base yesterday after a transatlantic flight from the US. China's “MizarVision” satellite data provider also published photos showing six aircraft at the air base.
The “Boeing E-3C” aircraft forms the core of the airborne command and control system. It is capable of managing large-scale air operations, coordinating the movements of fighter and tanker aircraft, as well as providing early warning about air targets hundreds of kilometers away. Analysts assess the deployment of these aircraft to the region as an important stage in the US's preparations for possible military operations in the Middle East, particularly against Iran.
