The Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting offensive operations at the junction of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, located in the south of the country.
Modern.az reports that, according to information disseminated by Ukrainian media, citing the command of the Air Assault Forces, the military has 'cleared' eight settlements of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups. The main objective set is to prevent Russian forces from advancing in the direction of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions and to push them back from the administrative borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The command stated that Ukrainian paratroopers are repelling attacks by the Russian army, while the situation in the Aleksandrovsk direction remains 'very dynamic'. Despite the resistance, assault units are taking control of certain areas.
Previously, the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces announced that control over more than 300 square kilometers of territory had been restored as a result of counter-offensives in the Huliaipole and Aleksandrovsk directions since the end of January. Meanwhile, Roman Pohorelyi, co-founder of the DeepState project, reported that the 'grey zone' around Prymorsk and Lukyanivsk in the Orikhiv direction had been cleared.
