An airplane crash occurred in Balıkesir, Turkey.

Modern.az reports, citing Turkish media, that an F-16 type fighter jet, which took off from the 9th Main Jet Aviation Base around 00:50 local time, crashed during a mission flight.

As a result of the incident, one serviceman was martyred.
