Yesterday, Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was subjected to a drone attack by Iran. During the incident, 4 of our citizens were injured, and the infrastructure of Nakhchivan Airport suffered serious damage.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan immediately reacted to the issue. It was stated that the responsibility for the incident lies entirely with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan is preparing necessary retaliatory measures for the defense of our country's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and for ensuring the safety of civilians and civilian infrastructure. It was noted that acts of aggression will not go unanswered.
The reaction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the attack was also stern.
The world media strongly condemned the events. A number of leaders called President Ilham Aliyev, stating their support for our country.

In a statement to our website, Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Bakhtiyar Najafov, stated that the institution protested and condemned the attack on Nakhchivan:
“Naturally, yesterday's attack on Nakhchivan is an unacceptable incident. As citizens and as a community, we express our protest against the attack. The Caucasus Muslims Office also expresses its protest and condemns this attack. As Mr. President stated in his speech yesterday, we demand that the criminals who organized this attack be punished soon. We want such incidents not to happen again, and for neighborhood rights to be protected".
