A criminal case has been initiated based on a complaint filed against lawyer Javidan Osmanli.
Modern.az reports that the victim Aygun Maharramova appealed to the Narimanov District Police Department with a claim of being subjected to fraud. According to the claim, in July of last year, she met lawyer Javidan Osmanli to defend her rights in a case ongoing at the appellate court. It is alleged that C. Osmanli took 21,200 manats from A. Maharramova by promising that the apartment belonging to her would be returned by a decision of the Surakhani District Court, and presented her with a fake writ of execution in the name of the court.
Regarding the fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 320.1 of the Criminal Code (Forgery or illegal preparation of a document granting rights or releasing from duties, or other official document, with the aim of using it). The victim's lawyer Imran Alakbarov confirmed the information to APA.
It should be noted that in September 2024, a criminal case was initiated at the Pirallahi District Police Department based on a complaint filed against lawyer Javidan Osmanli. According to the accusation, he promised approximately 10 individuals that he would prepare documents for their reinstatement and apply to the court. However, he did not fulfill his promise. He took a significant amount of money from the victims and was suspected of fraud.
