The US did not expect the war with Iran to last this long.
Modern.az reports that military and political analyst Elijah Magnier stated this to Al Jazeera.
Recalling that the conflict has now entered its 14th day, he said:
"I think this is a very difficult moment, because the Americans did not expect this war to last this long, nor did they expect the reaction of Iran and its allies."
"The Americans did not expect damage to all bases in the Middle East. Iran's reaction against the Strait of Hormuz was also not expected to be of this magnitude," the analyst added
According to him, Hezbollah's attacks from Lebanon on Israel are putting serious pressure on Israel's air defense system.
"Whoever blinks first will be declared defeated in this battle," he stated.
"This is, of course, something Trump does not want. But he is also facing increasing domestic pressure."
