The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has issued a statement regarding the situation in the Middle East.
Modern.az reports that the Council of the Organization's Parliamentary Assembly has expressed its serious concern about the tense situation that has arisen in the region, particularly against the backdrop of military strikes on Iranian territory.
In the statement, all parties were called upon to exercise restraint. At the same time, an appeal was made to the UN, urging it to take urgent steps to prevent threats to international peace and security.
The CSTO emphasized that the protection of Iran's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity is important. The Organization also stated that it demonstrates solidarity with the government and people of Iran.
Furthermore, in the statement, deep condolences were extended to the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the events.
