Information was received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations about a fire breaking out in a furniture workshop located on Y. Mammadov Street, Sumgayit city.
Regarding this, Modern.az was informed by the press service of the MES.
It was reported that, in connection with the information, forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the MES were immediately deployed to the area.
Thanks to the swift intervention of firefighters, the fire that broke out in the furniture workshop was extinguished in a short time without being allowed to spread.
As a result of the fire, the combustible structures of the furniture workshop, with a total area of 750 sq.m, burned in an area of 70 sq.m. A large part of the workshop, including the furniture and wooden materials inside, was protected from the fire.
