Detained NGO chairpersons were freely RELEASED

There is new information regarding the chairmen of NGOs who were detained a few days ago for preparing fake orders and medals, as well as various types of certificates. 

According to information obtained by Modern.az, preliminary investigations regarding the detained NGO chairmen have been conducted, their statements have been taken, and they have been released after the completion of relevant procedural measures. According to the information, during the investigations, certain issues regarding the activity directions of these individuals and the recent work of the organizations they lead have been clarified. Currently, an additional assessment is being carried out by law enforcement agencies based on the collected materials.

It should be recalled that on October 1, Fuzuli Rzaguliyev, chairman of the “Azerbaijan Patriotic War Veterans” Public Union, Eldar Ismayilov, head of the “Dede Gorgud” Charitable Foundation, and Rasim Mammadov, chairman of the “Stability and Development Center” Public Union, had been detained.

The official statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) indicated that from the offices of these organizations, more than 1500 medals and orders reflecting special days and significant events of state importance, 421 certificates, more than 60 various seals and other fake items were discovered and seized as material evidence.

Regarding the fact, a criminal case has been initiated under the Criminal Code's article on forging official documents, state awards, seals, stamps, blanks, additional preparation, sale, or use of fake documents, and F. Rzaguliyev, E. Ismayilov, and R. Mammadov have been brought in for investigation.

Investigative measures regarding the criminal case are ongoing.
