“Those who wrote Ramiz Mehdiyev's fairy tale books, his propagandists and promoters - in fact, they were a group that cast a shadow over the scientific and intellectual environment. Instead of academic criticism and pluralism of ideas, they were engaged in creating a personally mythologized image. The main goal of this circle was to form an artificial ideological construct called 'Ramiz school' and present it as a 'scientific tradition'”.
According to Modern.az, this was stated by Professor, Doctor of Economic Sciences Zahid Məmmədov.
According to him, some members of the “Ramiz school” group acted as writers and publicists, others as “academics” and “scientists”, but their writings were examples of commissioned ideological texts, not critical thought.
“They promoted Ramiz's “way of thinking” under the guise of philosophy, history, politics, and culture, even attempting to present these ideas as teaching material in universities.
This systematic promotional activity had several levels:
Symbolic level – books bearing Ramiz's name and conferences about his “scientific school”.
Media level – speeches in newspapers and television programs presenting him as a “state ideologue”, “founder of national philosophy”.
Academic level – scientific substantiation of the personality cult through dissertations, monographs, and scientific articles.
The dangerous aspect of this process is that the concept of scientific authority was replaced by personal loyalty, and in universities, the intellectual environment was poisoned by “Ramiz terminology””.
