The akhund of Pirallahı district of Baku, Mubariz Rahimov, and his wife have donated their organs.
Mubariz Rahimov himself informed Modern.az about this.
“Today, my wife and I signed an official application at the Organ Transplantation Center of the Ministry of Health. We gave our consent for the transplantation of our organs, such as heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, intestines, stomach, and pancreas, to patients in need after our demise. We hope that with this decision, we can bring joy to the families of several people and hope to several families,” the akhund of Pirallahı district told our website.
Akhund M. Rahimov quoted from the Holy Quran in this regard:
“The Holy Quran states: “Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain all of mankind; and whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved all of mankind” (Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 32). Recalling this verse, we believe that mediating in the life of one person means serving all of humanity.
By taking this step, we believe we are fulfilling both our worldly responsibility and our religious duty. Our prayer to Allah is that He accepts this good deed and bestows upon us and our loved ones goodness and reward both in this world and in the hereafter.”
