President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Modern.az reports that the letter states:
"Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of Your Excellency's birthday, please accept my sincere congratulations.
Thanks to your leadership, Azerbaijan has transformed into a modern and successful state, confidently strengthening its role and influence in the international arena, and has achieved significant results for the state, including the restoration and strengthening of its territorial integrity.
I highly appreciate your personal contribution as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to strengthening the friendship between our peoples and the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, based on the principles of mutual support, international law, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
This partnership serves the intention to achieve a just peace in the Black Sea-Caspian region, as well as the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in energy, economic-trade, humanitarian, and other fields.
Ukraine expresses its deep gratitude to you and the people of Azerbaijan for the solidarity and practical support provided amidst the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. In particular, the humanitarian aid provided to ensure the operation of the country's energy system facilities, participation in the reconstruction of the liberated city of Irpin in the Kyiv region, and the health restoration and rehabilitation of Ukrainian children from frontline regions are highly valued.
