The Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has extended condolences to Switzerland regarding the tragic fire in Crans-Montana.
Modern.az reports that a post on this matter was made from the ministry's "X" social media account:
"The news of the tragic fire in Crans-Montana deeply saddened us, as this incident claimed the lives of many people and caused injuries.
We extend our sincere condolences and express our profound sorrow to the families of the victims and the people of Switzerland.
We express our solidarity with those who have lost their loved ones, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
It should be recalled that in Crans-Montana, a ski resort town located in the Alps, on January 1, 2026, shortly after midnight, at approximately 01:30, an explosion occurred in a two-story bar named "Le Constellation . As a result of the fire, approximately 40 people died, and another 100 people were injured.
