President Ilham Aliyev approved “the State Program for the Improvement of Water Supply, Rainwater, and Wastewater Systems in Baku City and the Absheron Peninsula for 2026−2035”.
Modern.az reports that, according to the Order, the Cabinet of Ministers shall coordinate the implementation of the measures envisaged in the State Program and monitor their execution, shall report to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan once a year on the status of implementation of the measures envisaged in the State Program, and shall resolve other issues arising from this Order.
The monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the measures envisaged in the State Program shall be carried out by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication based on the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan are instructed to, in accordance with the financing mechanisms of the measures envisaged in the State Program, ensure the allocation of necessary financial resources annually during the preparation of the state budget and state investment programs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as take appropriate measures to attract funds from other sources.
