Reports have spread that bonuses paid to doctors in state medical institutions, in addition to their salaries, are not being paid. Doctors state that certain amounts of bonuses, paid in addition to their salaries, have not been paid since September-October 2025. This is reported to have caused dissatisfaction among medical staff.
Interestingly, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance has given a different response to the doctors' dissatisfaction.
The Modern.az website sent an inquiry to the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance regarding the issue.
In response to the inquiry, the institution stated that the payment of bonuses continues:
“The payment of bonuses continues in accordance with the "Rules for the Remuneration of Healthcare Workers Employed in Medical Institutions under the Public Legal Entity "Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units"."
It should be noted that the salaries of medical workers include official (tariff) salaries, allowances paid for working conditions, incentive allowances, and other payments stipulated in the Labor Code.
Incentive allowances are provided to medical workers in the form of fixed or monthly incentive allowances based on their position and the nature of the work performed.
