On December 23 of last year, the district prosecutor's office received information about the discovery of the p of Solmaz Dadash gizi Mahmudova, a resident of Shamkir district, born in 1957, bearing signs of violence. As a result of complex investigative and operational-search measures jointly carried out by the prosecutor's office and police officers, the crime was solved.
Modern.az reports that this was reflected in a joint statement by the Press Services of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It was reported that measures taken established reasonable suspicions that the victim Solmaz Mahmudova was intentionally killed by Arzu Mahir oglu Hamidli, born in 1996.
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated by the Shamkir District Prosecutor's Office under Article 120.1 (intentional homicide) of the Criminal Code regarding this fact is ongoing.
Arzu Hamidli was detained by police officers, handed over to the investigation, and arrested by the prosecutor's office as a suspect.
It was noted that joint measures by relevant state bodies are regularly continued to find unresolved criminal cases, including searches for missing persons, and to expose and bring to justice those who committed criminal acts, keeping these matters constantly in focus.
