Labor pensions will be indexed.
Modern.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order in this regard.
According to the Order, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall ensure the indexing of the insurance part of labor pensions assigned until January 1, 2026; in relation to labor pensioners who have been assigned supplements to their labor pensions for length of service – the amount determined together with these supplements; and material assistance included in the composition of labor pensions since January 1, 2023, in accordance with the annual growth rate of the average monthly nominal wage determined by the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025 as of January 1, 2026; and, in accordance with the annual level of the consumer price index, the amounts of pension capital recorded in the insurance part of the individual personal accounts of insured persons until January 1, 2026.
Pursuant to the Order, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall resolve issues arising from this Order.
This Order shall apply from January 1, 2026.
