President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Modern.az reports that the letter states:
"Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the national holiday of the Islamic Republic of Iran – the Day of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution – I extend my sincere congratulations to you and your entire people, personally on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
The development of relations between our peoples and countries, bound by common religious and cultural roots and ties of good neighborliness, holds special importance for us. The increasing dynamism of Azerbaijan-Iran relations in recent times is gratifying.
Your official and working visits to Azerbaijan last year opened a new page in the history of our interstate relations, giving impetus to the development of our mutually beneficial cooperation.
Currently, the scope of issues on our bilateral agenda is expanding and being enriched with new content. The intensive nature of visits at various levels, signed documents, implemented joint projects, including the effective activity of the State Commission, create favorable opportunities for deepening our cooperation of mutual interest.
I believe that for the sake of the security and prosperity of our region, Azerbaijan-Iran relations and cooperation will continue to strengthen through our joint efforts, in line with the interests of our friendly and fraternal peoples.
On such a significant day, I wish you robust health, happiness, success in your endeavors, and lasting peace and prosperity to the friendly and fraternal people of Iran".
