Ramiz Mehdiyev, AXCP chairman Ali Karimli, party members - Fuad Gahramanli, Ganimat Zayidov and others, after nominating Rustam Ibrahimbeyov, who was a Russian citizen at the time, in the 2013 presidential elections, an organization called the “National Council of Democratic Forces” (National Council) was established, and thereafter, with financial assistance and other forms of organizational support from foreign special services, they engaged in activities aimed at forcibly seizing state power by instigating mass riots, disobeying the lawful demands of government representatives, and disrupting public order, transport, enterprises, institutions, and organizations.
Modern.az reports that the State Security Service has released information on this matter.
It was noted that, for this purpose, to attract people from various regions of the republic, these individuals directed the sum of 933,828.40 manats in funds received through AXCP member Ibrahim Mammad and others, including financial resources obtained from Ramiz Mehdiyev and Abbas Abbasov, towards the commission of the aforementioned acts.
