Clarification is requested regarding the status of individuals who participated in combat operations that took place for the territorial integrity of our Republic in the period from the First Karabakh War until the start of the Patriotic War, and in the anti-terror operation conducted in 2023.
According to Modern.az, this was reflected in the “Report of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025” discussed at today's meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis.
The Ombudsman recommended clarifying the status of individuals who participated in combat operations that took place for the territorial integrity of our Republic in the period from the First Karabakh War until the start of the Patriotic War (in the April battles of 2016, the Tovuz battles in July 2020, and other military clashes), as well as in the anti-terror operation conducted in 2023.
