At the Astara border crossing point between Iran and Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani soldiers are awaiting people fleeing the conflict in Iran.

Modern.az reports that "Euronews" stated this in its report prepared in the border area.

It was noted that those arriving at the border are greeted with water, hot tea, and food, including dates, cookies, and sandwiches. They are then taken for border control before continuing their journey, and consequently, are able to return to their countries of residence.

According to reports, the majority of travelers are Azerbaijani citizens who choose to return home. Meanwhile, the number of foreign citizens who have left the troubled country to date is 50, of whom 18 are from the Saudi Arabian diplomatic delegation, 6 are UAE citizens, 10 are from the Qatari diplomatic delegation, 1 is an Italian citizen, 4 are from Jordan, a family of 5 is from Tajikistan, 3 are from Bangladesh, and 18 are Chinese citizens.

Among other countries using the corridor are Poland, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Brazil, Tunisia, and France.
