The final court hearing in the criminal case regarding Ilkin Ganbarov, Vusal Aghayev, Tural Aliyev, and Mammad Sharifov, who are accused of treason, was held at the State Security Service (SSS).
Modern.az reports that the verdict was read out during the proceedings held at the Baku Military Court, presided over by Judge Bilal Mammadov.
According to the verdict, the accused Ilkin Ganbarov and Vusal Aghayev were sentenced to 18 years, and Tural Aliyev and Mammad Sharifov were sentenced to 17 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
It should be noted that Ilkin Ganbarov and Vusal Aghayev, who were accused of treason in the form of espionage by assisting representatives of a foreign special service agency, were detained and brought to investigation as a result of measures taken by the SSS.
They were charged under Article 274 (treason) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. (APA)
