According to Modern.az, this is reflected in the new Article 523-1 proposed for the Code of Administrative Offenses, which was discussed at today's joint meeting of the Milli Majlis's Legal Policy and State Building, Human Rights committees, held in video conference format.
According to the project, a warning will be issued for engaging in begging, or a fine ranging from one hundred to two hundred manats will be imposed, or, taking into account the circumstances of the case and the identity of the offender, if the application of these measures is deemed insufficient, administrative arrest for a period of up to ten days will be applied.
For involving a minor in begging, a fine ranging from two hundred to five hundred manats will be imposed, or, taking into account the circumstances of the case and the identity of the offender, if the application of these measures is deemed insufficient, administrative arrest for a period of up to fifteen days will be applied.
