Last month, 5875 foreigners applied for the acquisition (extension) of a temporary residence permit in Azerbaijan.
This was reported by the State Migration Service in response to an inquiry from Modern.az.
It was stated that in February, 481 applications were received by the SMS regarding the acquisition (extension) of a permanent residence permit.
At the same time, during the relevant period, 849 applications were received from employers regarding the acquisition and extension of work permits for foreigners and stateless persons to engage in paid labor activity in Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, in February 2026, the state agency adopted a total of 1572 decisions regarding violations of migration legislation.
