According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, rainy weather is forecast for the coming days, with intense precipitation in some areas, short-term floods in some mountain rivers, and lightning. Furthermore, due to the strengthening of moderate westerly winds and rising temperatures, there is a possibility of avalanches in high mountainous areas.
Modern.az reports that in connection with the aforementioned, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the public, urging them to adhere to the relevant safety rules.
Thus, to protect against floods and inundations that may be caused by intense precipitation, it is recommended to stay away from flood and inundation-prone areas, and if faced with such a danger, immediately move to a nearby high ground.
At the same time, to protect against lightning-related dangers, it is necessary to disconnect electrical devices from the network, avoid talking on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), when outdoors, do not approach power lines, lightning rods, gutters, and antennas, do not take shelter under tall trees and for this purpose choose a relatively low-lying area, and if in a car, stop the vehicle, raise the windows, and wait for the lightning to cease.
Furthermore, considering the danger of avalanches in some high mountainous areas, it is recommended to avoid areas prone to avalanches, including steep slopes.
Remember: Indifference to rules – is a danger to our lives!
