President Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin on the occasion of that country's national holiday – Independence Day.
Modern.az reports that the congratulatory message states:
"Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the national holiday of the People's Republic of Bangladesh – Independence Day, I extend my most sincere congratulations to You and your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
There are pleasant traditions of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh. I believe that, in line with the interests of our peoples, we will continue to make joint efforts towards the development of our bilateral relations and the expansion of our cooperation.
On such a pleasant day, I wish You robust health, happiness, success in your endeavors, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Bangladesh."
