In Azerbaijan, the dates of non-working days in connection with Eid al-Adha and Independence Day have been determined.

According to information from Modern.az, in accordance with the relevant decision of the Collegium of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, this year, May 27-28 coincide with Eid al-Adha.

Also, on May 28, Independence Day will also be celebrated in the country.

In accordance with the requirements of the Labor Code, due to the coincidence of public holidays, an additional day off has been determined. For this reason, May 29 will also be considered a non-working day.

Thus, for those working a five-day work week, May 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 will be non-working days.

It should be noted that, since May 9 - Victory Day over Fascism falls on a Saturday this year, in accordance with the Labor Code, May 11 will also be considered a non-working day.

With this, including weekends, there will be a total of 14 non-working days in May. 

For information, we would like to state that, according to Article 108 of the Labor Code, on the days preceding holidays that are considered non-working days, working hours are shortened by one hour.
