A scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been established for family members of deminers who died or lost their lives due to injuries sustained during an accident caused by the detonation of explosive ordnance while carrying out demining activities.
Modern.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree in this regard.
According to the Decree, a scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been established for family members of deminers who died or lost their lives due to injuries sustained during an accident caused by the detonation of explosive ordnance while carrying out demining activities, and its monthly amount has been set at 700 manats.
It has been determined that the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan established under this Decree:
is paid to the following family members of a deminer who died or lost their life due to injuries sustained during an accident caused by the detonation of explosive ordnance while carrying out demining activities (the scholarship amount being divided into equal parts according to their number):
to his (her) widow (widower), parents;
to his (her) children under the age of 18 (or until they complete their education in vocational, secondary specialized, and higher education institutions, but not exceeding the age of 23), or children with disabilities over the age of 18 whose disability was determined before reaching the age of 18, and brothers and sisters raised in orphanages;
to his (her) grandparents who have no other relatives in the first degree of kinship;
is paid by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the expenses allocated for the said Ministry in the state budget;
the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan established by part 1 of this Decree also applies to family members of deminers who died or lost their lives due to injuries sustained during an accident caused by the detonation of explosive ordnance while carrying out demining activities until the date this Decree entered into force, and is paid for the period subsequent to the date this Decree entered into force.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to resolve issues arising from this Decree.
