The investigation into the alleged violence in Dashkasan continues.
Information regarding this was provided to Modern.az by the General Prosecutor's Office.
It was noted that information has been shared by some media outlets and social network users regarding the commission of violence in July of last year in Qabaqtəpə village of Dashkasan district by a person born in 2000 against a woman born in 1961.
In response to an inquiry by the Press Service of the General Prosecutor's Office, it is stated that an investigation was conducted by the Dashkasan District Prosecutor's Office regarding the aforementioned appeal, with an inspection of the crime scene, material evidence significant to the case was collected, the circle of necessary persons was identified and their statements were taken, and relevant expert examinations were appointed for the case, and opinions were obtained.
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 149.1 (rape) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Currently, the preliminary investigation into the case is ongoing.
All circumstances of the criminal case are being thoroughly, fully, and objectively investigated, and additional information regarding the outcome will be provided to the public.
