10 years have passed since the April battles, which demonstrated the victorious spirit of our army.

The successful counter-offensive operation carried out by the Azerbaijani Army in response to the provocations of the Armenian armed forces on the night of April 1-2, 2016, marks the beginning of the Glorious Victory path leading to the complete liberation of our territories from occupation. These battles are remembered with respect and pride as the start of a great Victory for our nation and state.
Thanks to the professionalism of our army, the fabricated myth of "invincibility" regarding the Armenian armed forces, which suffered heavy losses in terms of both manpower and equipment, was shattered, and our nation's determination to win was strengthened.
As a result of the decisive strikes by our units, up to 30 tanks, more than 25 artillery pieces and other armored vehicles, and 320 servicemen of the Armenian army were destroyed, and over 500 of its fighters were wounded.
Over 2,000 hectares of our occupied lands were liberated, and Lələtəpə height, Cocuq Mərcanlı village of Jabrayil district, and thousands of hectares of strategically important territory came under the full control of our Army.
The valor and professionalism of the Azerbaijani Army were demonstrated in these battles. The April battles became a significant turning point both militarily and psychologically. Thanks to the superiority gained by the Azerbaijani Army in the battles, the belief among our people that our lands would be liberated by military means was further strengthened.
The April battles laid the foundation for the path to Victory for the liberation of our lands from occupation and served as a serious test for our army in terms of experience.
The April victory, which became a triumph of solidarity in the name of people-state-army unity, also went down in history as an expression of the professionalism of the Azerbaijani soldier, the might of our army, and the unparalleled valor of the children of the Motherland.
In response to the large-scale provocations committed by the Armenian armed forces along the entire front on September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijani Army, under the leadership of our Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, concluded the counter-offensive operation it had launched with a magnificent historical victory within 44 days.
As a result of successful combat operations in the post-war period, including the Patriotic War and the anti-terror operation, revenge for our martyrs was taken, separatism was ended, the constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan was fully restored throughout our country, our territorial integrity and sovereignty were ensured, and large-scale restoration and construction works were launched in our liberated territories.
