The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who was on a business trip to the Russian Federation, participated in the next meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), held in Moscow on April 2.

First, the defense ministers of the CIS member states, accompanied by an honor guard and a military orchestra, laid wreaths and bouquets of flowers in front of the Victory Monument in Moscow. A commemorative photo of the heads of delegations was taken.
During the limited-format meeting, various aspects of regional security and military cooperation issues between our countries, as well as other issues, were discussed.
Within the framework of the visit, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov also held a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart, Andrey Belousov.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation in the military and military-technical fields between Azerbaijan and Russia were discussed.
