President Ilham Aliyev commented on Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's expression of gratitude to Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports that a post in Persian was made on the Azerbaijani President's social media account regarding this.
The post states:
“The gratitude of the esteemed President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, my brother Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, for the support of the Azerbaijani people and state is highly appreciated by our people.
Our friendly and brotherly peoples have supported each other for centuries and will continue to be together in both good and difficult times.”
It should be noted that on April 2, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian called President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to our head of state for Azerbaijan's humanitarian assistance to Iran.
Yesterday, Masoud Pezeshkian wrote on his "X" account that he highly appreciated the goodwill and support of the Azerbaijani government and people in his conversation with President Ilham Aliyev.
“Friendly and brotherly peoples find each other in difficult moments, and the deeper the roots of civilization, the stronger this bond will be,” Pezeshkian noted.
